This Sunday's Coupon + This Week's Ad Match Ups

Updated 5/7 10am

I hadn't even gotten a chance to see what coupons where coming this Sunday so i had my hubs pick up 3. Now i want more then that LOL There is couple good coupons that match up with our ad matches this week, plus a couple more that look really promising in the weeks ahead.
Although i was not pleased with the Red Plum at all this week, very very weak! Oh well many were reporting only a Smart Source this go around so i guess i should be thankful for an added insert regardless.

Here are coupons that go with this weeks match ups:

Coupons.com Tool Bar

I saw a post about a good coupon and went to go look at it and saw them advertising the Coupons.com Tool Bar. Typically i hate tool bars, they make browsers look busy and ugly. I decided i would try this out since you can always uninstall it. I was pleasantly surprised that in Google Chrome they allow you to 'Hide It' or 'Show It' (the tool bar) with one simple click.

This tool bar might actually be a keeper for me. I love Coupons.com but i don't like looking through all the pages of coupons because generally 95% of them are not something i would print. With this tool bar it breaks the coupons down into categories and you can look through them super fast with out loading a page. The tool bar also refreshes the list so you are always getting current coupons when they are loaded to the site.

I think i like searching through Coupons.com better this way especially since i can 'Show' the tool bar when i want to look and then 'Hide It' again when i am done. I think this is kinda cool.

You might want to try it... you might not.
But if you do, you can go HERE to get it.

Sunday Coupon Previews For 4/29

View Sunday's coupons HERE
We should have 4 different inserts in this Sundays paper.

They are saying there will be 1 Smart Source, 1 PepsiCo Moments, 1 Red Plum and 1 P&G. I don't know if PepsiCo is a regional insert or not, i personally seem to have a hard time finding a newspaper that has them in it... maybe i will have better luck this Sunday!

I have missed purchasing my newspapers the last couple of time (so sad!) but this Sunday some how, some way i will get some! Hehe

Wal-Mart Price List For March-April 2012

So I'm still working on compiling that Wal-Mart item price list. I'm trying to do it in two month sections. These last months have been very busy so i haven't gotten a lot. I've uploaded the spreadsheet up to my google docs and made it public so anyone can view it.

I've added a new section on the right where i am going to list my price lists, so you will always be able to find it there.

Hope this helps you, i like having it :) It will also help me with my ad matches for the week listings.

Attempting To Get Organized... Again

These last... oh 4 weeks, has been really busy. That happens sometime and things get backed up. In between church events and obligations and birthday parties i was buying my newspapers, getting them half clipped and thrown in a box because i didn't have the time or energy to finish and get the organized.
This seems to be a routine. I do great and am really on top of getting my coupons clipped and in my binder and then things get to busy and things get piled up and it takes forever to get things under control again. Ever been there? LOL i'm sure you have.
Well once again i am attempting to get organized and make things easier for me when the next hectic phase comes.
So this is what i did:

This is a section of my desk in my craft room just for my coupons.

This filing container i cleaned out and now it will store my unclipped coupon inserts. I have arranged them by week.
Helpful Hint: I have seen and heard that people write the date on the insert cover for quick reference (i do this as well). I have even seen a lady who takes pictures of the insert covers and posts them online with the dates for people to reference in case they forgot to write the date on them. Well i figured out something today where you will never again have to 'wonder' what week the insert came from if you forgot to write it on the cover when you bought it. Did you know that the insert covers print on them the date of when that insert was in the newspaper? It's small and printed on what would be the 'binder' section of the insert if it was a book. I had several inserts that were given to me and i didn't know which week they were from and i search and search the insert to see if it stated the date. I was so tickled to find it because i had never seen it before when i had looked. I then looked on all my inserts and on all of my inserts (except the playskool one) it had it listed there.

I bought these little drawers at Wal-Mart and labeled them with the same labels i have in my coupon binder. This works for me because a lot of times i have enough time to quickly clip some of my coupon inserts (that are usually piled up) and separate them into stacks of alike type of coupons but i have a hard time going back and separating the coupons into individual coupons and get them in my binder.
So when i do this i usually have stacks of unorganized coupons sitting all over my desk and/or work table.... or i end up throwing them in a box because i need my desk and well... it just becomes a mess!
So now i have an area to quickly throw them after i clip them, half organized. Then when i want to come back and get them in my binder it is much easier. Also if i have to make a trip to the store quickly i can look through the half organized stacks and find a coupon much easier.

This might seem silly... i know it seems like a lot of steps but for me it makes it easier and anything to make saving easier is worth it.
I personally like all my coupons clipped and in my binder at all times... i'm not a huge fan of leaving in the whole inserts and only clipping the ones i need so this is kind of... well three ways of organizing them. I guess i like to mix things lol

And of course every person has there own method so play around with it!

Wal-Mart Price List

pricelist

I have started to compile a Wal-Mart price list. Of course this list will be undergoing constant revisements as new prices come in and coupons are found. My list will have Wal-Marts base price for the item, the lowest comp price for that item, the highest coupon i have found for that item and lastly the amount you should be saving in total on the item. My hopes is that it will help us identify good sales :) I am also thinking of trying to track base price, comp price and coupon values according to the month because i have heard sales and coupons change from season to season. That way i can identify what months are best to stock up on which items.
Wish me luck! This will be very time consuming, but hopefully a good resource!

(Sneak Peek)

What do you think? I would love any advise on this since this is my first time making a price list. Should i change anything or add anything? Thanks :)
